Lots of plum skin and dried flower aromas in this wine. Medium- to full-bodied, with good tannins and a berry and tobacco aftertaste. Elegant and refined. Best after 2008.
The 2000 Barolo Ciabot Manzoni is large-scaled, powerful and with an expressive nose of tar, roses, and licorice, firm and muscular in flavor and with good weight and grip on the finish. It will drink well until 2018.
