Silverado Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Yountville Miller Ranch 2011

External Review:

91 we Intense aromas of lime, grapefruit and orange spiked with ginger and quinine. On the palate, juicy flavors with bright fresh picked tangerine flavors than linger on the finish.

Here, Silverado Vineyards has been quietly producing world-class wines from their state-of-the-art winery for over 20 years. With grapes sourced almost entirely from Silverado’s family-owned estate vineyards, these hand-crafted wines are created in small lots with extreme care. They express richness, elegance and age-worthiness. Silverado wines are unique - one-of-a-kind blends of location, philosophy and winemaking style. The Mediterranean-style stone winery, established in 1981, stands on a knoll above the Silverado Trail in the heart of the Stags Leap District. we went here for one of our tours and this place was awsome. they were so sweet and this particular wine for its price was well worth it. very smooth, a light sweetness, bold but not a dessert wine.

Silverado makes wine from their family-owned estate vineyards. Their wines are handcrafted, like this Miller Ranch Sauvingnon Blanc. Notes of grapefruit, fresh green apple, and tangerine linger on the palate. A balanced acidity and long finish make this a wine you will keep coming back for.

This wine shows vanilla, melon and grapefruit and modest acidity.

Bright and refreshing, its mouthful of passion fruit, grapefruit, herb and lemon-lime flavors dancing around on the palate, zingy yet balanced. An effusive, racy white for drinking now through 2002.

A delicate style, with silky texture, good acidity and a subtle blend of melon, fig and grassy notes that are well integrated and pleasing. The finish is clean and fresh, with a bracing mineral-and-citrus edge.

Lots of grass, citrus, smoke and hay in this nice wine. Has strong grassy flavors; dry and citrusy-bright, but softened by buttery notes and 6% Sèmillon. Pretty and very elegant.
