Here, Silverado Vineyards has been quietly producing world-class wines from their state-of-the-art winery for over 20 years. With grapes sourced almost entirely from Silverado’s family-owned estate vineyards, these hand-crafted wines are created in small lots with extreme care. They express richness, elegance and age-worthiness. Silverado wines are unique - one-of-a-kind blends of location, philosophy and winemaking style. The Mediterranean-style stone winery, established in 1981, stands on a knoll above the Silverado Trail in the heart of the Stags Leap District. Silverado is a legendary name from the early mining days. Today it symbolizes the Miller family’s long term commitment to the future of Napa Valley wine. Read less

Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Delicate and subtle nose with creamy connotations and hints of salty, tropical fruit rather like grilled pineapple. The entry is crisp and possessing good minerality. The flavors are a bit austere and there's a slight hint of racy acidity and some effervescence on the tongue. Flavors lean toward apple and pear with young pineapple and guava. Some green notes. Slight oak, but more green than toasty. Perhaps it needs to open more, but it's just alright by me. It finishes very salty, super dry and woody. 81 pts. 4/14/13

Tasting Notes - Consistent with Silverado's retro-California style of Chardonnay, this wine has aromas of citrus, vanilla, pineapple with floral undertones and a creme brulee note to the oak component. A light to medium body with vanilla and apple flavors round out the moderately long finish.

Deep golden color with a light gold rim. Aromas of papaya, guava, pineapple, and citrus are framed by a touch of oak. Buttery and rich on the palate, this offers the classic California chardonnay profile of popcorn, pineapple and vanilla while also s... Alex Lallos.
