I was served this wine at a restaurant last night, and I really like it. We were eating at a nice buffet restaurant with prime rib and pork tenderloin. This wine tasted smooth, lightly sweet with no strong after taste. I'm no way an expert but I like this more than Merlot and Cabernet.

A serviceable Pinot Noir for the price. This wine tastes highly acidic, has a pungent nose with a sharp mouthfeel which quickly subsides. An earthy finish also disappears rather quickly, leaving the palate feeling cleansed. Not as round and clean as I would like in a Pinot Noir, but you pay for what you get. Ideal with fattier beef dishes, but I can't imagine drinking with tomato or other acidic foods. Not the best for drinking by itself, but I can imagine it would be a fine cooking wine. Considering the price and the elegant label I was hoping I'd found a good one to buy in bulk for the holidays. Unless I plan to braise an entire veal calf, I might invest elsewhere.

You might be surprised by this discreet wine offering aromas of red currant that deepen to blackberry with shades of earthy leather as it opens on the palate leaving the impression of light tannins; m
