Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon Redwood Valley 2007
The 2007 vintage bears its soul, as seductive wafts of dark chocolate cherry rendezvous with aromas of black peppercorn and wood smoke. Draped in a shade of plush ruby, intense flavors of black currant and blackberry compose a seamless symphony on the palate, enriched by espresso, cocoa and vanilla tones from 10 months’ aging in 72% French and 28% American oak barrels. Rich tannins lead to a silky, lingering finish, beckoning you back for more.
At Silver Palm, our passion is creating extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon. We select choice grapes from the finest wine valleys of northern California and with traditional and cutting-edge artisan winemaking techniques, craft a sumptuous, seamless Cabernet Sauvignon that beautifully accompanies food. Some consider us obsessed with quality – decorating each of our bottles with platinum, for example – but beauty is in the details. Enjoy.
Great fruit, bold and excellent finish!!! I have and would buy this again and again......At 14.99 per bottle (which is what I purchased it for), this is an excellent wine for the value. If you close your eyes and someone told you it was a 35.00 bottle, you would believe it. Being a big wine type of drinker, this does not dissapoint. Great for company or an everyday wine. It is a blend that has found a way to keep it's consistency. Some of the blended wines do not really keep the consistency factor in place, however this was one has across at least 5 occasions and separte case lots. In summary and flavor...Silver Palm is a poor man's Silver Oak....go and drink up!!!
The first sniff left no doubt that this was a big, bold and robust cab. In the nose and on the pallet, plum peels, blackberry, black currant, cigar box and hints of tar and vanilla. This is a full bodied wine with vigorous tannins, bright acidity, lots of oak and lots of fruit and a lusciously long peppery finish.
Bought my second. Excellent value, agree with "wine o New York".
This wine is very good, smooth as silk, nice bouquet and finish. Really like this one.
