This small vineyard is a great place to see. Make sure to find what day's they are open before you go to wine country, but worth the trip.

Rich chocolate nose with hints of mocha. Very balanced and smooth. Lower acid than other Napa Cabs, very good fruit. Will clearly age. Finish is on spearmint. Very nice.

This is the first Silver Oak I've tried, and I loved it. The nose was so complex and interesting that it really built the anticipation. The kind of wine you want to drink every day for a month to learn more about it. If only I could afford to do that....

2004 Twomey Merlot is an elegant, concentrated wine that balances delicacy and expression of fruit. It has a dark ruby color and a complex nose of black cherry, raspberry, violets and dark chocolate, with hints of lightly toasted bread. It offers

A refined and complex wine that combines subtlety and depth. It has a dark ruby color with a deep red edge and displays aromas of fresh blackberries, violets, cola, nutmeg and licorice. In the mouth, the wine has a juicy attack and offers great expression of fruit and spice on the mid-palate. Its fruit-driven finish is long and elegant.

Because Silver Oak only produces Cabernet Sauvignon from California's two best Cabernet microclimates, their wines are consistently outstanding and complex, brimming with ripe cassis flavors, carefully seasoned with toasty new oak. This Alexander Valley bottling is full-bodied and ultra-ripe. <small>This item excluded from any other discounts or offers beyond the 15% case discount.

91 Points - Connoisseurs' Guide7% Merlot; 5% Cabernet Franc; 2% Petit Verdot. Deep, well-defined curranty fruit is the driving force of this nicely extracted, young Cabernet, while complementary oak

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2005 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon beautifully expresses the full aromatic ripeness of this exemplary vintage. It is full bodied and yet refined, and consistent in its color, aroma, palate and finish. It has a dark garnet color and a nose of black cherry, clove, cinnamon, lavender and licorice. It is seamless on the palate with a solid core of berry fruit, velvety tannins and excellent length. With proper cellaring it should give drinking pleasure through 2032.
