This small vineyard is a great place to see. Make sure to find what day's they are open before you go to wine country, but worth the trip.

Rich chocolate nose with hints of mocha. Very balanced and smooth. Lower acid than other Napa Cabs, very good fruit. Will clearly age. Finish is on spearmint. Very nice.

This is the first Silver Oak I've tried, and I loved it. The nose was so complex and interesting that it really built the anticipation. The kind of wine you want to drink every day for a month to learn more about it. If only I could afford to do that....

2004 Twomey Merlot is an elegant, concentrated wine that balances delicacy and expression of fruit. It has a dark ruby color and a complex nose of black cherry, raspberry, violets and dark chocolate, with hints of lightly toasted bread. It offers

Good deep red. Black cherry, plum syrup and lead pencil on the nose, with a lightly roasted character and a meaty nuance. Quite pliant on the palate, with a much more velvety mouthfeel than the Alexander Valley offering and more mid-palate stuffing t... Stephen Tanzer. The 2004 Alexander Valley Cab from Silver Oak blends fruit from several different vineyards and ages them for 25 months in a combination of 50% new and 50% once-used American oak barrels. It's a fruit-driven wine that showcases Silver Oak's

PRE-SALE OFFERThis is an opportunity to purchase a special and collectible Cabernet from a great California vintage. Winemaker Daniel Baron has created an expressive, velvety wine that carries the Silver Oak signature style: complex, concentrated, and full-bodied with layers of red and black fruit and spicy American oak.Aromas of olive-tinged, creme de cassis intermixed with sweet vanillin and smoky oak lead to a sweet, chunky, ripe, cedary wine with an attractive texture, an expansive, fruit-forward style, and a spicy finish.

2004 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex and elegant wine that balances the expression of fruity and savory elements with finesse. The wine has a dark ruby color with a purple edge and displays aromas of black plum, soy sauce, chocolate, rose

Fresh and vibrant, with a nice smoky mocha oak overlay joining the dried currant, sage, plum finesse, ending with a long, complex finish and just the right amount of tannins. Drink now through 2014.

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2005 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon beautifully expresses the full aromatic ripeness of this exemplary vintage. It is full bodied and yet refined, and consistent in its color, aroma, palate and finish. It has a dark garnet color and a nose of black cherry, clove, cinnamon, lavender and licorice. It is seamless on the palate with a solid core of berry fruit, velvety tannins and excellent length. With proper cellaring it should give drinking pleasure through 2032.
