Silvano Bolmida Barolo "Bussia" 2013

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Funky nose, spice and green, intense, touch of brett, lean entry, clean fresh mid-palate. Nice fruit, nice fruit tannins, savory, licorice, spices core, touch of coffee, drying, extracted, appley seed tannins, some fruit skin tones, a bit indistinct, nice spicy finish.

Wonderful! With complex nose, palate was one of the most balanced again of the recently tasted barolos - ripe fruit in balance in mid-palate in balance with tar & minerals in the aftertaste. Very long length. Overall - outstanding wine. Great concentration of fruit, balanced flavours and very judicious use of oak (it's reserva). A barolo couldn't be more balanced. Had it with duck! This example was even better than some of the more expensive bottlings. Ready to drink and there is no reason to keep it in the cellar :)
