Signorello Chardonnay Napa Vieilles Vignes 2008
The nose opens with intense tropical fruit, toast and mineral aromas. Rich fruit flavors, especially of apple and pear enhance the lush palate. French oak provides a touch of spice with hints of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. A bright apple-like crispness balances these silky, toasty layers. Drinkability: 2008 to 2013.

Very burgundian and sophisticated. this ain't your over-oaked napa chard. Steely flavored with minerals. very little fruit. I paired it with teriyaki grilled chicken but it would go great with a nice fat filet of tilapia or some other mild fish.
Toasty nose. Pear tart, creme brulée and hints of vibrant citrus. Creamy texture on the palate with Meyer lemon curd, dried apricot, poached pear, toasted brioche and creme fraiche. Very judicious oak. Nicely balanced and nuanced. I know Signorello to make huge wines, so unsure how this was newly released, but it's drinking nicely now. 92 pts.
