Wine Advocate ReviewThe medium ruby-colored, spicy 2005 Pinot Noir Terra di Promissio Vineyard possesses red currant and sweet cherry characteristics along with a kirsch-like component. With soft tannin and decent acidity, it can be drunk now and over the next 3-4 years.

With crisp acidity in addition to abundant structure and tannin, the most unevolved and backward offering is the 2005 Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard. Sweet cherry, raspberry, plum, cinnamon, and damp earth/forest floor nuances are found in this long, ... Robert Parker. A Pinot Noir wine from California in USA. 2005 Siduri Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard 750ml

Wine Enthusiast ReviewA good example of the principle that you get what you pay for, this regional Pinot is almost as good as Siduris Rosellas Vineyard botting. Its dry, crisp and silky, with delicious cola, cherry, vanilla and cinnamon spice flavors. It lacks the concentration of the single-vineyard Pinot, but is beautiful now.Wine Tasting NotesThe Siduri Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is a superb example of what we are trying to accomplish with our appellation blends. It has great immediate appeal and, although it might not make old bones, its forward fruit and enticing character makes it hard to resist right now.

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2005 Siduri Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir is one of our biggest Pinot Noirs, yet is also demonstrates a sense of balance as well as the lower alcohol levels that are typical of the 2005 vintage. The wine shows the dark blackberry fruit, the rich, velvet-like mouthfeel, and the good level of natural acidity that helped define this vineyard in 2005. Our Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noirs have traditionally aged very well and we certainly expect that to be the case with this offering.
