Siduri Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands Rosella's Vineyard 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

94 points Wine Spectator: Firm, dense and concentrated, with a lively array of vivid wild berry, raspberry, mineral, sage, cedar and anise flavors that are full-bodied and deceptively muscular... a very positive sign for a wine of this age. There's a long, gripping finish, with tiers of flavor. Drink now through 2020. 298 cases made. (3/31/11)

Siduri Wines:
Siduri started more than 15 years ago in our native Texas. At the time it was a dream shared by two wine geeks (us!) who wanted nothing more than to move to California and make killer Pinot Noir from the finest vineyards we could find. Siduri started more than 15 years ago in our native Texas. At the time it was a dream shared by two wine geeks (us!) who wanted nothing more than to move to California and make killer Pinot Noir from the finest vineyards we could find. Today that dream is a reality. In 2004 Siduri celebrated its 10 year anniversary. We can hardly believe it, but between two wine labels (Siduri and sister label Novy Family Wines) and three beautiful children, we are beyond blessed and beyond busy! With our small but tireless crew we produce over 25 different Pinot Noir wines each year, representing the largest Pinot Noir focus of any California winery. We invite you to use this site to learn more about our wines, winemaking, and vineyards as well as to access our online tasting notes. To receive information directly from the winery on special wine offerings, events and tastings, please take a moment to join our mailing list. Next time your travels take you to the wine country, be sure to give us a call. We would be delighted to have you visit the winery for a personal tour and tasting. Thanks again for your interest in Siduri. We love what we do and enjoy the opportunity to share with others. Adam & Dianna Lee Read less

Firm and well-structured, with a complex band of wild berry and blackberry, spice and floral notes. Full-bodied, gaining depth, richness and nuance, this ends with a return to the berry medley on the finish. Drink now through 2018. 1,855 cases made. ... Wine Spectator. WS 94pts. - WA (90-93)pts. - According to the Wine Spectator: Firm, dense and concentrated, with a lively array of vivid wild berry, raspberry, mineral, sage, cedar and anise flavors that are full-bodied and deceptively muscular... a very positive sign for a wine of this age. There's a long, gripping finish, with tiers of flavor. Drink now through 2020. 298 cases made. According to the Wine Advocate: The 2009 Pinot Noir Garys Vineyard displays the same sort of flamboyant richness in a forward, evolved style. It is showy already, and I could have drunk a glass or two of it despite the fact that it s so young. This looks to be a fruit-laden vintage, perhaps lacking some structure, but it s still a little too early to make that call.

Tasting Notes:

Tightly wound, firm and structured, with a rich beam of lively wild berry, raspberry, spice, mineral and subtle smoky, toasty oak notes. Full-bodied and dense, yet elegant, this is an impressive youngster that's built for aging.
