The wine has a deep centre with a dark red rim. The bouquet shows lashings of classical Barossa Shiraz chocolate and dark plum aromas, given a gentle lift from the well seasoned French oak notes. It is a robustly structured wine, with mouth-filling generous fruit clothing its firm muscularity. It finishes firm with powdery tannins. It is a fine example of Barossa shiraz from a top vintage year. - Winery

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2008 Shiraz is scented of black cherry and crushed blackberries with hints of licorice and tar. High acidity plus a medium level of fine tannins structure the full bodied palate, and it finishes long with plenty of juicy fruit. Drinking now, it should remain this appealingly vibrant to 2014.

91 Points - James Halliday"Highly polished red and black fruit bouquet, with a touch of licorice for interest; the palate is quite fleshy with the tannins asserting themselves on the finish; warm and rich to conclude."

Weingut: Peter LehmannLand: AustralienRegion: Barossa ValleyRebsorte: 100% ShirazInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 14,5 Vol.%Säuregehalt: 6,53 g/lRestsüße: 2,8 g/lFassreife: in Barriques gereift (12 Monate) Empfohlene Serviertemperatur: 16 °CLagerfähigkeit: 3-5 Jahre ab Jahrgang  Rotwein > Australien > Barossa Valley

Ripe and round, this is generous with its smoky cherry and black currant flavors, persisting against mildly grippy tannins to create a long, layered finish. Best from 2010 through 2016.

More concentrated than the 2000, with a deeper color, the 2001 Shiraz reveals greater ripeness in the nose, and cuts a plusher, fuller, fleshier swath on the palate. Medium to full-bodied and supple, this heady, hedonistic, South Australia fruit bomb will drink well for 5ndash;6 years.

This ripe and succulent red has a juicy feel to its lively blueberry and plum fruit, hinting at toast and cedar as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2014.
