Shirataki "Jozen Mizunogotoshi" Sake NV

Member Review by joss:

Though this premium Junmai Ginjo sake comes from Japan's "Koshin-Etsu" region, which produces little sake, the Niigata prefecture, where Shirataki is located, is known to produce some of the very best sake in Japan. Shirataki's flagship sake, "jozen mizuno gotoshi" is a perfect example of this. This is a magnificent sake, smooth, flavorful, savory. melon, pear, and apple aromas with a clean, crisp finish. beautiful balance, with a touch of sweetness. one of my favorite sakes... dangerously refreshing and drinkable...

Also known as “Heavenly Water” sake, this refreshing sake combines slightly sweet and sour notes. Rich, textured, and fruity on the nose.
