Philosophy on Soil: The soil is the breadbasket of great winemaking. In order to grow a great wine, the soil must be a living organism capable of feeding the vine. At Shinn Estate Vineyards, we use only naturally occurring substances to amend our soil and provide the necessary nutrients to maintain the vine's health and vigor. Winemaker's Notes: Our playful "wild" Bordeaux blend of 40% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec, 15% Petit Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Franc.
