Shingleback Shiraz the Davey Estate 2010
Dark red-purple. Brooding mulberry and ripe strawberry aromas with base notes of mocha oak fill the glass. The mid-palate of this full-bodied wine overflows with a compote of dark berries and earthy minerality. The integrated fine-grained French and American oak further enhance the texture and length of the wine.

This supple, ripe red is generous with its bay leaf-accented cherry flavors, finishing with a mild grip of tannins. Best after 2013.
Deep purple-black colored, the 2010 Shingleback The Davey Estate Shiraz has pronounced notes of warm blackberries and blueberries over cedar, violets and fertile loam plus subtle hints of Mediterranean herbs and game. The palate reveals a good concentration of ripe blackberry flavors with enlivening acid and a medium-firm level of fine grained tannins, finishing long. Approachable now, it should drink well to 2018+.
