Shinas Estates Viognier the Innocent 2008

Member Review by WineFlair:

Very nicely made Viognier with melon aromas and flavors of sweet apricot, yellow peach and a touch of honey. Rich yet not overpowering. From a semi-retired judge ("Bail Justice") in Australia - thus the "Innocent" moniker - who makes very modest amounts of this great stuff.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This wine is pale gold in color, has beautifully arousing aromas of honeysuckle, apricot and peach blends. The wine has succulent flavors of ripe apricot, peach and spices. Rich and delicate; making it exquisitely balanced and possess a long finish.
