External Reviews for Shelter Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District
Special Wine of the Month Was $59.50 - Now $54.00!! Shelter is a unique and exciting project. By blending the extra barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon from top winemakers of top vineyards in Napa Valley, Shelter is then born. Rich, cassis fruit, well integrated toastiness, and coffee bean and chocolate on the finish. Because of the sensitivity of the reputation and exclusivity of these vineyards, the source and winemaker will not be revealed Great wines are the result of a collective effort to select, cultivate, and literally harness in a bottle the best qualities of grape, vineyard, region, vintage, and winemakers--this is the Shelter ideal. One might say its declassified Harlan crafted by Andy Erickson, another might guess it to be second tier Hourglass made by Bob Foley. Who knows? All I know of this wine is that it comes from an excellent fruit source and drinks like a hundred bucks.
