Sheldrake Point Riesling Finger Lakes 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Sheldrake Point’s 2010 Riesling is an estate wine produced entirely from Riesling grapes grown and hand harvested from our 43 acre vineyard located on the west shore of Cayuga Lake. It is a blend of Riesling from two vineyard blocks: 85% R1 block, and 15% R2 block which were harvested on October 15 and 20, 2010. The wine was fermented cool, blended in March 2011, and bottled in July 2011.

Light lemon color leads to an inviting nose redolent of honey, peaches and spiced pears. Round, full and rich in the mouth from the wonderful noble rot, this Riesling remains fresh through a finish of honeyed tree fruit. A wonderful 'auslese' in a Finger Lakes style. - Winery
