Ruby in color, with a nose that exhibits red fruits, light herbs, and a touch of cedar oak. The wine is medium bodied with light tannins and red fruits and a hint of earthiness and oak in the finish. - Winery

Sheldrake Point Vineyard Luckystone Red Finger Lakes 750ML

External Review
Vintage: NV 02/14/2013

Although this vinifera blend changes from year to year the grapes used in the 2007 release of Luckystone Red definitely benefited from an excellent growing year in the Finger Lakes. Made from Cabernet Franc and Merlot with Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon in a supporting role this lighter-styled red shows juicy red and black fruit with hints of herbs and floral notes. This well-made red reminds me a bit of a Cru Beaujolais and should find a lot of fans looking for a lightly tannic dry red wine.
