Bright and jazzy, delivering its cherry and raspberry fruit with a swipe of licorice and pepper, lingering nicely on the lively finish. Drink now through 2016. Winemaker Notes - This release is beautifully balanced wine that shows the full complexity of Shea Vineyard. Aromas of ripe red cherry, black raspberry, hibiscus tea and exotic spices lead to concentrated red and black fruit and elegant tannins on the palate. The finish is long and complex. This elegant Pinot will be a wonderful accompaniment to a fine dining experience.

Winemaker's Notes:

Sourced from throughout Shea Vineyard this is classic Oregon and more specifically classic Yamhill-Carlton AVA Pinot noir. It displays violet aromas, red fruit on the palate and a spicy long finish. The Estate is big but not overpowering. The tannins are smooth, the acidity bright and the wine structured and balanced. Aged in 47% new French oak. Alcohol 13.2%. Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 94 points by Wine Spectator: Supple, rich and complex, layering its dark berry, black cherry, pink grapefruit and exotic spice flavors on a velvety frame. The finish lingers effortlessly. Drink now through 2019.
