Quite fruity with peach, orange and lime aromas greeting the nose, joined by floral and green anise seed top notes. This is pretty rich and fairly large scaled in the mouth though it does maintain good focus and drive. The acid is fairly bright and helps perk up the flavors that turn a bit dull, reminding me of plantains with their heavy near fruitiness. The fruit, nectarine and lime, is still quite pronounced on the back end, though the alcohol begins to intrude and pops out on the moderately long finish. With air this takes on a mintyness on the finish along with the heat, though it does tighten up a bit on the palate. 87pts
