Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District One Point Five(2004)

The Shafer family purchased their Napa Valley hillside estate in 1972, a property that had been the site of wine grape cultivation since the 1880s. John Shafer planted Cabernet Sauvignon on the property in the early and mid-1970s and from those vines made his first wine in 1978.

Of the 2004 One Point Five, Shafer winemaker Elias Fernandez says, “These are aromas and flavors that speak of home to me – pure Stags Leap District. This is a wonderful wine! I have really come to admire the wines from Shafer. This Cab is very versatile in that you can drink it now and really enjoy it or you can lay it down for a few years and see what some bottle age will do. Enjoy! Cheers!
