used to be a favorite. now that i know more about wine, it still holds up as a great go-to wine, charming and easy, and good with food. a great value for the price.
This one is 6 years old now and i happy to say it's still good in spite of long 12 hours flight to Moscow and wrong way of storage! absolutely delicious deep taste. It seems to be much younger then I expected! Thanks god I have another 2007 bottle! nice wine, keep it !
spicey, richness filled with dark fruit, rich mouthfilling finish, yummy california zinfandel
The first bottle with tonights steak dinner. Always a joy and safe to share -balance fruits and tanins please all, to point. Quaffable. Always love to have a bottle (or two) in the "corkers box" -
A terrific Zin & I love the spice & on top of that a good value for the price.
Good for the price. I've bought it for larger gatherings as the "red" choice - fruity enough to please most drinkers, but no so simple that sophisticated sippers will turn it down.
I'll admit that against my own principles I first tried this wine because of the name and label. While I try not to let marketing dictate my choices, I was nevertheless very surprised by this wine and it is now my go-to Zin. From its plum color in the bottle and glass to its woody aroma to its undoubtedly spicy taste, it delights all the senses. Makes a great sharing or gifting wine when preferences are unknown and is sure to please almost anyone.

Notes of sweet plums and pepper dominate the nose while flavors of blueberry, raspberry, cinnamon, and black pepper pack the palate from start to finish. The silky-smooth tannins hold the wine together and deliver a soft, fruit-driven experience. - Winery ** SOLD OUT **
Medium ruby hue. Blackberry and briary notes meet smoke and tar on the nose. Upon tasting, the blackberry fruit spectrum continues with licorice, minerality, and a pinch of olives, leading to a dry, balanced finish. If you are looking for a Zinfandel... Neil Mechanic. The 2007 7 Deadly Zins is a knock-out bargain. Aged completely in American oak, it is loaded with berry fruit, pepper, spice, and earth characteristics.
