Serene Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2005
Amazing bottle but still young. Decanted for 2 hours prior to drinking which I would recommend. Big fruit mid palette - classic oregon balance of fruit, minerality and earth. I have 2 more of these that I will patiently it 2 and 4 years before enjoying. Very optimistic about how this wine will age and come together.
classic oregon pinot yuminess, nice fruit, integrated oak just entering its prime but early still.
Rich and fruity with a sweet fruity nose. The cool growing conditions give it a solid acidity, so it pairs well with food.
Soft, medium-light tannin and acid. Plums, pinoty. Chocolate.
A classic Domaine Serene Evenstad Reserve. It could use a couple of more years in the cellar to bring out the fruit even more so. However, the bottle is a half bottle, which is not noted on this website.
Smooth texture, great finish! My favorite Oregon wine! All around delicious

Côte Sud is one of seven vineyards of Domaine Serene’s Evenstad Estate, located atop the southernmost of the Dundee Hills of Oregon. The nose displays complex aromatics reminiscent of ripe citrus, quince, lemon custard, toast, clove, and anise.
Since its first vintage in 1990, Domaine Serene has produced exquisite estate grown Pinot Noir made atop the renowned Red Hills of Dundee, Oregon. A spicy, complex red wine that's full of cherries, orange rind, vanilla and clove.
The powerful nose displays a complex array of blackberry, boysenberry, ripe blueberry, wild strawberry, caramel, pipe tobacco, black tea, and dried flowers. The rich and structured front palate show ripe blackberry, bing cherry, plum, cola, oak spice, and vanilla with fine-grained tannins and excellent length.
The wine that made the Evenstadt's famous is a blend of Pommard, Wadenswil and Dijon clones from their dry-farmed estate vineyards in both Dundee and the Eola Hills. It sums up everything that defines the best in Oregon Pinot Noir: sumptuous fruit, gorgeously silky mouthfeel and a wonderful blend of the complex and the accessible. It is truly one of the treasures of American viticulture.
