Señorio de Barahonda Mourvedre Blend Yecla Nabuko 2008

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

Vivid red. Complex nose displays red and dark berries, graphite and fresh violet. Fresh black raspberry and blueberry flavors stain the palate and are braced by zesty minerality. Clean, focused and sweet on the finish, where suave Asian spices come up to complement the berry fruit. Extremely easy to drink, with no rough edges or apparent tannins.

The 2008 Nabuko is composed of 50% Monastrell and 50% Syrah aged for three months in French oak. Purple-colored, it reveals a fragrant nose of smoke, underbrush, blueberry, and blackberry jam. On the palate spice notes and black licorice emerge along with layers of savory blue fruit. Well balanced and lengthy, this seamless effort can be enjoyed over the next four years.
