/ the 1999 Terrerare is dark ruby Carignano with an orange rim and offers very ripe cherry and red plum flavors with notes of cedar and herbs. On the palate it reveals big extracted savory fruit in a modern international style with a sweet oak finish.

Over The Barrel/ Drink 2005-2012. One hundred percent Carignan. This earthy and rustic wine is lusty, robust and hearty. No subtlety here but loads of ripe fruit and oak. A wine for a rich stew, game or an aromatic cheese.

Sardinia, Abruzzo, Aglianico, & More…My Kinda’ Wine!/ Get to know these wines as they reflect the heart and soul of southern Italy.Medium ruby brick. Almost baby Barolo like aromas of leather and rose petals. Old school red with dusty tannins and leathery red fruit and tobacco on palate.

/ Vibrant red cherry tones are expertly woven withing toasted nut and vanilla to produce a wine with character that ultimately seems younger than it is. You'll taste red currant berry, pomegranate and toasted wood flavors and enjoy its refreshing crispness.

In Italy and elsewhere in Europe, wine connoisseurs and industry professionals rate Sella & Mosca among Italy's most outstanding wine estates. TerreRare 2003 - 89 Points, Wine Advocate/ The estate's 2003 Carignano del Sulcis Riserva Terre Rare comes across as somewhat less polished. it features a wilder, more gamey set of aromas and flavors that dominate the sweet red fruit. A weightless, silky-textured red, it should drink beautifully over the next seven to eight years.

Tastings: Southern Italy/ These bush-trained carignano vines in the far south of Sardinia produced a ripe wine in ’99. Its spicy plum and raisin flavors gain freshness with air, citrusy acidity carrying it into a long, smoky finish. Drink now, with roast game.
