中心から周辺部に向けての色のグラデーションがわかりやすい。それほど古いものではないにしても、2003年に作られて6年経っているので、色の鮮やかさと枯れ具合から見ても、一番あぶらののったタイミングではないだろうか。もしくはあと１、２年みてもいかもしれない。


黒いブドウであるのだろう、くすんで周辺が茶色がかったルージュ、中心はガーネットである。

鞣し革という表現も陳腐かもしれないが、動物的な香りに、しおれた花のような、雨の日の木の幹のような香り。樽香によるもの？
ブリに醤油をつけて食べたときの、心地よい生臭さ。これを動物的と言ってもいいか。

そう思うとお醤油のような味がしてくる。
凝縮したタンニンの渋みや甘みがそれほど鋭角的でなく、口の中で立ち上がってくる。
全体的に温暖な気候で育ったブドウの特徴を備えているといえるだろう。
どのような樽での熟成なのか。
もともとの品種自体の特性がわからないので、このワインの相対的な味わいは評価できないが、ボクは好みである。

ただ、このように枯れと甘みの渋い調和は、おいしいけれど、そして余韻がないとは言わないが、イタリアワインの特質なのか、最初に味わいのほとんどが立ち表れて、だからこそおもしろく、そして何より美味しいのだが、少し、哲学的な物足りなさを感じる。
