Nose of dark fruit and a little heat. Tasted light and has a little tang to it. Finished like a glass of really ripe, dry, authentic apple cider. The kind you have to shake up to distribute the sediment. I like that about it. Light body very light color. Simple but good.
Really love this wine! Very easy drinking on its own , but pairs well with many foods. Use a true "red wine goblet" to fully enjoy it's flavor and aroma.

"Sella & Mosca Cannonau Riserva 2006 is rich red. It has intense with scents of violet. This wine is well-rounded and supple with rich
The 2006 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is a fabulous wine for the money. This isn't the most complex Cannonau readers will come across, but it nevertheless impresses for its persistence, purity of fruit and wonderful balance. Dried cherries, crushed flowers and spices linger on the ethereal finish. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013.
Schönes Granatrot mit ziegelroten Reflexen, würzig, ausdrucksvoll und warm das Bouquet, harmonisch und samtig der Gaumen mit zarten Pflaumen- und dezenten Holznoten im Finale.
The 2005 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is made in a light to medium-bodied style that emphasizes its ethereal, perfumed aromatics rather than an overt expression of fruit, as is often the case with other Cannonaus. This understated, elegant wine reveals a core of sweet cherries that gradually emerges with air. It remains a feminine wine of notable class, particularly at this level. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
Light in color and thin in extraction, this Cannonau opens with aromas of forest berry, red candy, blue flowers, white stone, fennel seed and walnut nuttiness. There's enough dimension and structure here to pair with roasted pork, fried chicken or cheese-topped pasta.
Wine Tasting Notes Intense with scents of violet. Well-rounded and supple with rich, ripe, plummy flavors.
Notes: This wine has aged at least 2 years in oak casks.
