What to Expect

Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.

Winemakers Notes

Nectarine, pear, honeydew melon, papaya, and pineapple notes are the first aromatics you notice, followed by tangerine and lemon curd. All this developed fruit translates very well on the palate, which is marked by creamy texture and balanced by crisp acidity. The depth, complexity and intensity of the flavors carry through on the long, delicious finish.

Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 132, May/June 2007 ($27) Pale yellow. Musky aromas of peach, pear, white flowers, quinine, ginger and dusty stone. Fairly rich, oaky sauvignon with a zesty quality to its flavors of lime, peach and mint. Finishes firm, dry and serious.
