What to Expect

Few white wines have achieved the fame that Riesling has in Germany. Its ability to produce a wide range of styles, from bone dry to lusciously sweet, in an even wider range of climates has made it the grape of Germany. Riesling in Germany can range from the steely, piercing wines of the Saar to the round, opulent peachy wines one typically finds in the Nahe and the Pfaltz. Every region is capable of producing both dry and sweet versions though there is a movement towards drier wines that has taken hold throughout many regions.

Lime-joy! This one united clarity and density; fabulously racy. Fulminant and grand; up near the summit now.

Resplendent, magnificent nose; sweet sweet tarragon; high-toned, splendid slate; this has it ALL. (6-18 yrs.)

Demonstrates beautiful clarity and focus, a crunchy texture and a grapefruit like zing on the finish. Laden with spice, apricot and a distinctive sage note. Delicious now, but has the structure to age through 2010.

Rating: 3/5 - As reviewed by Decanter Perfect nose. Special creaminess on the palate which can indicate fermentation in oak, with perfect balance of fruit, sugar, alcohol and acidity.
