Subtle bouquet of peach stone, cinnamon and lemon zest. Apricot fruit remains light and elegant on the palate, with refreshing acidity providing definition and lift. Mineral salts accent the pleasingly refreshing finish.
On the dry side, medium body with aromas of peach, pineapple, spice and minerals. Elegant and lightweight, yet very seductive and balanced with intense flavors that build through a long finish.
Open, delicate and gossamer in texture, framing the apple, lime and spice flavors. This is balanced on the vibrant, juicy side, with a mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2022.
Racy flavors of quince, peach and spiced pear fill this vibrant white. The long finish of strudel shows hints of butter, and is lush, creamy and elegant. Drink now through 2021.
This is on the drier side, its lively acidity framing flavors of citrus and grapefruit pith. It is unusually subtle and elegant, its fruit both juicy and reserved.
Not much aroma here, but the flavors express lemon, orange and vanilla matched to a creamy structure. Itrsquo;s well-balanced and long, with a tangy finish. Best from 2007 through 2020.
The generic Selbach-Oster 2009 Riesling Spatlese mdash; from Zeltinger Himmelreich plus a bit of Kinheimer Hubertuslay mdash; offers simple but luscious apple and pear fruit, with a saline streak that makes for an invigorating and lip-smacking finish. Give such impeccable balance mdash; at 9% alcohol and with only a modest, adeptly-integrated residual sweetness mdash; I would expect it to remain delightful for 12ndash;15 years, and it might well pick up some complexity in the process as well.
