This large-production Zin has lots to like, beginning with the smooth, dry tannins and continuing through the classic flavors of black currants, briary forest berries and exotic spices. It contains some Petite Sirah, which gives it added body and depth. Drink now with barbecue, beef tacos and pepperoni pizza.

An excellent wine from a challenging vintage, with black cherry and spice aromas opening to rich wild berry, mineral and toasty sage flavors that wrap around a concentrated core of acidity and tannins. Best from 2015 through 2021.

Wild berry patch aromas and scents of freshly baked bread. Desired varietal markers of raspberries, blackberries and Zin's briary spiciness reflect in this wine. Zin's ever-present acidity enhances the finish and fine, dusty tannins add complexity, mouthfeel and structure. Layered nuances of flavor with cracked pepper, tilled soil and a hint of creamy oak. Characteristic synergy of components - balanced and elegantly structured.

Winemaker's Notes:

Spicy, lush black fruit of Alexander Valley. Briary and raspberry flavors, along with structure, of cooler Dry Creek Valley. Balanced and elegantly structured. Pair with red sauces, pizza, barbecue, spicy cuisine and a variety of meats
