We have tasted this against about 10 wines of good pedigree in the past three years and it always comes out on top. Dynamite acis, dark fruit and earth.
External Reviews for Seghesio Family Vineyards Barbera Alexander Valley
A fruit-driven, rich red with balanced acidity. A perfect match with red meats, spicy meatloaf, or red sauce pasta dishes.
Barbera, the harvest extender, ripens late. Picking grapes well into November is risky, but to achieve optimum ripeness, patience is required. Barbera's natural acidity, high even when the fruit is ripe, provides structure and lengthens the flavors. This wine's seductive blackberry, cherry and dried rose qualities combine with French oak's spicy, smoky nuances to create this rich rendition.
