Winemaker's Notes:

Arneis originates from the Piemonte region of Italy. Edoardo Seghesio, founder of Seghesio, emigrated from that same region in 1886. This rare grape's literal translation is "little rascal" due to its erratic ripening tendencies and temperamental nature during fermentation. For some time, Seghesio had the largest planting of Arneis in the United States - all of 26 vines. Today, they have 5,000 vines (8 acres) planted on their Keyhole Ranch vineyard. This wine has pear, melon and almond aromas on the nose with touches of anise and mineral notes. Medium bodied with a crisp lemony acidity on the palate and a lingering finish.
