See Ya Later Ranch Unleashed Gewurztraminer 2011
This wine has a huge perfumed nose: white flowers, peach, and lychee fruit. On the palate there is more fruit - peach and ripe pineapple, along with some vanilla notes. The acidity is quite subdued. Fuller bodied than expected. Great length.Add winemaker's notes

This is an amazing wine. So impressed that I'm going to tour their winery this summer. I'll definitely be bringing back a case...or two.
This wine was purchased by a relative who elected to pair it with a slightly eccentric poached sablefish he prepared (he may have lost the election). There is an appealing nose of ginger, pepper and allspice with some pear and lychee notes. But that's where it ends. Unfortunately, the attack is decidedly bitter and reminiscent of something like burning incense making the medium finish unpleasant as a result. Not enough lightness and too hot (14.3 percent alcohol). To paraphrase Dr. Johnson, perhaps worth drinking, but not worth the effort of seeking out...
