Second Vin Rouge du Château Malartic-Lagravière 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Berry Bros & Rudd review: This rejuvenated estate, in the outskirts of the Léognan suburbs, has
produced a wonderful white from its small 6-hectare plot of Sauvignon and
Sémillon vines. Belgian owners Alfred- Alexandre and Michèle
Bonnie can be rightly proud that their work since they bought the estate in
1996 is finally beginning to pay off. This is more restrained than la Garde and
has the balance, crisp acidity and immense energy that typifies the vintage. An
enormous depth of smooth, elegant passion fruit, melon, mango and peach
flavours add extra character to this highly impressive, and very rare, wine.

Cocoa, mocha and blueberry on the nose. Still young and tight, but with a lot of potential. Complex and with a nice finish - a wine to watch for sure

Proprietor Alexandre Bonnie has been raising the quality level of this estate to higher and higher levels. Although the 2006 will not rival the 2005, it is a classic, elegant Graves offering aromas of... Robert Parker. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2006 Malartic-Lagraviere 750ml
