Food Pairings for Sebastiani Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
External Reviews for Sebastiani Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Lots to admire, from the bright, rich plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit to the supple texture and pretty toasty-mocha oak shadings. Concentrated, with a long, complex finish. Drink now through 2008.
Very dense up front, with delectable aromas of plum cake, black cherry and vanilla. The palate is not enormous, but it's big enough to satisfy any lover of modern-style Pinot Noir. If there's a fault here, it's a buttery note to the finish.
It's rare to get a wine at this price from this appellation. And what's a winery whose name is synonymous with Sonoma Valley doing out on the cold coast? A Pinot that straddles the two regions, this is a fascinating wine, with sumptuous blackberry fruit and an exciting edge of minty tartness. Fantastic value in Pinot Noir.
Pinots in this price range can be risky, but this one represents a good investment. It's got real Sonoma personality in the silky texture, crisp coastal acids, and raspberry, cherry, vanilla and cola flavors.
Rather light in fruit, with sour cherry, tomato and rhubarb flavors. One taster found the polished texture and spicy finish pleasing.
Smooth and creamy, with pretty black cherry, plum and mocha-scented oak flavors. Drink now.
A delicate, soothing style, with high-toned ripe cherry, vanilla and spicy aromatics, and a smooth, polished texture. Finishes with supple tannins. Drink now.
It exudes Maraschino cherries, strawberries, vanilla, sandalwood and Oriental spice. While it drinks beautifully now, it will continue to improve over the next two years.
