I first tasted this wine on my 5th wedding anniversary. I paired it with a pistachio-crusted lamb chops and a duck paté. To both me and my husband, this wine was the most perfect glass of wine we had ever tasted. We savored every drop with our dinner. Amazing, smooth, fruity and just an all-around great wine for any palate. We loved it! The price of the bottle of wine from a supermarket is not bad considering our 5 star dinner cost $110.00 for two people! Excellent.

A nice fruity bramble nose. Interestingly dusty yet fruity taste (young vines? young wine?). Decent finish.

This wine is very young but if you put it in the cellar for a good 5-8 years I think it will be a very solid Pinot Noir. I think the color is flat out fantastic. The price is very decent at 18 bones. The main thing is it needs to be cellerd, do not drink this wine now!!!.

Our 2011 bears all the hallmarks of a cool climate, cool vintage Pinot Noir. It is medium dark with bright aromas of cherry pie, notes of cherries, sandalwood, spice and "forest floor." It finishes with accompaniment to salmon, turkey, pork or chicken-apple sausages. ~ Mark R. Light bodied and modest in flavor, with lots of acidity. You find yourself wishing there was more in the way of fruit. Still, it's pretty good for the price, with a nice, silky texture. - S.H. The 2010 delivers more "Oriental Spice" in the nose and on the palate than past Pinot Noirs! It also has more acidity and less oak than past efforts. The highlights are Maraschino and dark cherries followed by strawberries, mocha, vanilla and sandalwood. The finish is firm, tight and spicy with the underlying minerality we like to see in our Pinots. This 2010 works well with full-flavored dishes like duck or honey baked ham. It also pairs superbly with salmon, ling cod and sea bass! ~ Mark R. WE 90pts Editor's Choice - Winemaker Notes - Recently, we ve been moving towards a less extractive and more elegant style of Pinot that emphasizes perfume, balance and complexity. Consequently, our 2009 Sonoma Coast is more aromatic than previous vintages. It exudes Maraschino cherries, strawberries, vanilla, sandalwood and Oriental spice. While it drinks beautifully now, it will continue to improve over the next two years. I highly recommend serving all of our Pinots in large, wide stemware to amplify the beautiful, haunting aromas. Serve with grilled salmon and Asian food.

This is Syrah-like Pinot, rather heavy, but good. Itrsquo;s full-bodied, with good tannins and acids and is balanced and dry, with a touch of oak. Certainly shows off its California sunshine in the sweet finish, which is a swirl of cherries, blackberries and raspberries.

Sebastiani has had good results with their Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, and this bottling continues that tradition. It's a lovely wine, dry and rich, with raspberry and cherry pie, sweet, smoky oak and spice flavors, brightened with fine acidity. A wonderful wine for restaurants at a price that's affordable. - S.H.

Pinots in this price range can be risky, but this one represents a good investment. Itrsquo;s got real Sonoma personality in the silky texture, crisp coastal acids, and raspberry, cherry, vanilla and cola flavors.

    Winemaker's Notes:

Our 2011 bears all the hallmarks of a cool climate, cool vintage Pinot Noir. It is medium dark with bright aromas of cherry pie, strawberries, camphor oil and toasted oak. The palate is layered with notes of cherries, sandalwood, spice and "forest floor." It finishes with sillky tannins, roasted coffee and energetic acidity. This is the perfect accompaniment to salmon, turkey, pork or chicken-apple sausages.
