Gentle scents of fraise de bois and wild raspberries give this wine a delicate glow. Itrsquo;s a blend of pinot from the old vines at Sebastianirsquo;s Nebbione vineyard, complemented by other vineyards in Carneros, Sonoma Valley and Russian River. Sleeked by oak, with gingerbread scents providing form, the wine is neither pushy or pushed. It takes a bold, art deco stance, darkening to date and plum, decorative yet simple.
Juicy red cherry flavors make this light wine feel concentrated and plump. Itrsquo;s soft, simple and grapey, for rare prime rib.
Itrsquo;s rare to get a wine at this price from this appellation. And whatrsquo;s a winery whose name is synonymous with Sonoma Valley doing out on the cold coast? A Pinot that straddles the two regions, this is a fascinating wine, with sumptuous blackberry fruit and an exciting edge of minty tartness. Fantastic value in Pinot Noir.
Velvet-soft and youthfully rich with plum and black cherry fruit, this thick, juicy pinotrsquo;s depth of color is impressive, especially at the price. The flavor isnrsquo;t long, but itrsquo;s appealing.
Very dense up front, with delectable aromas of plum cake, black cherry and vanilla. The palate is not enormous, but itrsquo;s big enough to satisfy any lover of modern-style Pinot Noir. If therersquo;s a fault here, itrsquo;s a buttery note to the finish.
Pinots in this price range can be risky, but this one represents a good investment. Itrsquo;s got real Sonoma personality in the silky texture, crisp coastal acids, and raspberry, cherry, vanilla and cola flavors.
This is Syrah-like Pinot, rather heavy, but good. Itrsquo;s full-bodied, with good tannins and acids and is balanced and dry, with a touch of oak. Certainly shows off its California sunshine in the sweet finish, which is a swirl of cherries, blackberries and raspberries.
