Black cherry is the strongest flavor, with black tea adding yet another element to this great wine. A hint of cola comes through on the soft and pleasing finish.
A delicate, soothing style, with high-toned ripe cherry, vanilla and spicy aromatics, and a smooth, polished texture. Finishes with supple tannins. Drink now.
Plenty of vanilla and cedary oak to overcome, but the ripe plum and black cherry flavors are up to the task. A hint of lavender and nutmeg adds a tasty dimension, and it's hard to find a better value in Pinot Noir. Drink now through 2007.
You can taste the racy acidity and minerality of the cool Sonoma Coast in this silky, bone-dry Pinot. The cola, cherry, raspberry and spice flavors are pretty and polished. This is a good price for a coastal Pinot of this elegance.

WE 90pts Editor's Choice - Winemaker Notes - Recently, we ve been moving towards a less extractive and more elegant style of Pinot that emphasizes perfume, balance and complexity. Consequently, our 2009 Sonoma Coast is more aromatic than previous vintages. It exudes Maraschino cherries, strawberries, vanilla, sandalwood and Oriental spice. While it drinks beautifully now, it will continue to improve over the next two years. I highly recommend serving all of our Pinots in large, wide stemware to amplify the beautiful, haunting aromas. Serve with grilled salmon and Asian food.
This is Syrah-like Pinot, rather heavy, but good. It's full-bodied, with good tannins and acids and is balanced and dry, with a touch of oak. Certainly shows off its California sunshine in the sweet finish, which is a swirl of cherries, blackberries and raspberries.
