External Reviews for Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County
Well-balanced and likable with smooth tannins and bold flavors. Lots of black fruit, spice and cedar.
Our 2011 Sonoma County Cabernet is dark garnet in color with lovely aromatics that range from dried herbs, tea and black cherry to coconut, vanilla and cocoa powder. The flavors are typical of cooler climate Cabernets including black currants, red licorice, earl grey tea and toasty oak. This medium-bodied wine closes with well rounded tannins and a long lasting finish. - Mark R. Comes from superior vineyard sites in Sonoma County's top AVAs for Cabernet, including Sonoma Vallet and Alexander Valley. Aged in American oak. Flavors of black currants, red licorice, black tea and toasty oak. Well-rounded tannins and long-lasting finish.
This dark garnet-colored wine has black tea and black cherry aromas with hints of cigar box and mocha from barrel aging. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a hint of juicy blackberry, this wine is well balanced with flavors of cedar, raspberry and cocoa. The finish is long, carried by the toasty oak, forest floor character and structured tannins that promise this wine's potential in the next several years. Enjoy now, cherishing the fine grained tannins and full body, or cellaring up to five years for a softening of the tannins and emergence of more spice, leather, vanilla and chocolate notes.
