Soft and lightly floral on the nose with low hints of passion fruit, peach and pineapple. A little round in the mouth, though this shows good balance between the obvious sweetness and the obvious acidity, making for a rich yet balanced medium bodied wine. The flavors show hints of melon, apricot and orange marmalade with a touch of tea leaf on the back end and citrus pith through the finish. Nicely done and moderately complex. 85pts

Pretty perfumed on the nose with hints of jasmine and honeycomb over talc-dusted Asian pear. Soft in the mouth with a nice wash of lemon early on, followed by noticeably sweet flavors of apple and pear. Nicely balanced and easy to like, this lacks a touch of brightness on the palate and finishes with a bit too much sweetness and a touch of alcoholic heat as well. 83pts

I'm not the biggest fan of Reisling, but this is definitely the best I've ever had.

Tasting NotesThe aromatic nose of SeaGlass Riesling shows ripe apricot, sweet peaches, tropical fruit with floral undertones. Concentrated, rich flavors of perfumed white flowers are supported by juicy apricots, peaches and melon with a hint of honeysuckle. A balanced acidity leads to a lingering finish in an off-dry style. SeaGlass Riesling pairs well with spicy Asian dishes, smoked salmon, lobster salad and blue cheese. - WineryWine SpecificationsAppellation: Santa Barbara CountyVintage: 2010Alcohol: 12.4% v/vTA: 0.64 g/100 mlpH: 3.14RS: 2.20 g/100 ml (dry)

Winemaker's Notes:

Riesling grapes thrive in cooler climates that allow the grapes to ripen slowly and steadily, producing wines that range from bone dry to delectably sweet. Riesling’s high acidity is lusciously balanced by its fragrant floral aromas and sweet fruit flavors. SeaGlass Riesling is a perfect expression of Monterey County, with its cool ocean air, minimal rainfall and long growing season. Enjoy this distinctive Riesling as an aperitif or pair with spicy ribs or fresh lobster.
