Schweiger Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District 2003
Rich nose with light medicinal notes, black cherry, pencil lead. Very cabby! Stately, pencil, medium body and acid, tannic. Ready, but would be better in a few years. Complex. Barnyard funk. Lightly grassy and corny.Add winemaker's notes
Today Schweiger Vineyards includes 25 acres of Cabernet, four acres of Chardonnay, two acres of Merlot and micro blocks of Cabernet Franc, Malbec & Petite Sirah, Schweiger also produces a Sauvignon Blanc with fruit sourced from Sonoma County. Annual harvest yields vary from 1.5 to 3.5 tons per acre.

I found this at a "dump the vintage sale" at 21.89/bottle, an excellent buy, even at my modest means I went back for four more.
I picked this up from a small wine shop in a wine club purchase. I agree that a few more years would make it better, but I found this to be pretty good if I let it breathe for awhile. The flavors really came out. Not a bad pickup for $20.00. I wonder what's up with that..
