Schug Pinot Noir Rose Carneros 2009
This refreshingly dry Rose was harvested at low sugar from Ricci Vineyard Pinot Noir in the western portion of Carneros. A 3 day “cold soak” on the skins extracted delicate color and flavor components prior to fermentation. The juice was then drained to stainless steel for a slow cold fermentation. It has aromas reminiscent of cherries, strawberries and rhubarb with delicate flavors to match, and a crisp dry finish. It is an ideal accompaniment to poached salmon, summer picnics or a charcuterie platter.
