What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Schramsberg Crémant Demi-sec is a delicate off-dry, dessert-style wine: an American original. Crémant is French for “creamy” and traditionally refers to a sparkling wine with less pressure and softer effervescence. Our Crémant Demi-sec has roughly half the pressure of our other sparkling wines; it presents a creamier texture and more exotic flavors. Editorial Reviews

A touch floral on the nose with a pure yeatiness/creaminess that recalls fresh brie. A touch sweet across the mid-palate but not overly so and the acid and mineral tones dry out the finish. An interesting and enjoyable Demi-sec. 88pts

Reviews

A lightly yeasty nose leads to a demi sec sparkling wine thats softly sweet and full of delicate floral notes. There's a good mousse of fine bubbles and along with a nice biscuit character and some dried petal notes its rather nice.

Classic traditional method aromas. Dry to off-dry, just a bit of residual sugar, grapefruit and melon flavors. Ripe, pleasant acidity.

Lovely wine ... nice delicate nose with a yeast and biscuit and touch of honey. Slightly sweet, almost honey flavor over top of the biscuit and yeast. Very enjoyable.
