Editorial Reviews for Schramsberg Vineyards Chardonnay Blend Napa Valley Blanc de Blancs Late Disgorged
Simple but precise nose of lime, yeast and white mushroom. A fine mousse greets the palate delivering a lovely version of the nose, rich with sweet lime juice, gentle yeasty notes that hint at white mushroom and some subtle pale honey notes. There’s a nice hint of minerality on the back end that drive the moderately long finish. This is really lovely and precise. 90pts
Yeasty and fresh on the nose with a hint of Pina Colada that appears on the tropically fruited palate. Nicely integrated but obviously yeasty notes compliments the yellow fruited palate which offers up a touch of creaminess and leads to a nice finish. 89pts
Fruity and floral on the nose with light cherry and earth tones. On the palate this comes off as a tad coarse and subdued with yellow cherry fruit tones and a soft, simple, fruit driven finish. 87pts

Aromas of lime and Granny Smith apple. Crisp and tangy on the palate with exotic tropical fruits, lime, lemon custard. Finishes with a delicate sweetness and ample acidity. 10/8/11
Pours a bright and effervescent golden color with amble carbonation. Light on the nose with some green apples and lemons. The scents do not intesify much even as this warms a tad. Starts off with a nice tingly sensation of green apples and citrus. This stays constant throughout the entire tasting. On the very back end, there is some underlying vanilla cream flavor. This has a nice medium body with able acidity. Very refreshing.
This is a very tasty, crisp and light sparkling wine. I enjoyed it very much. I don't much about wines to say more.
Not bad, but not great. I wouldn't buy it again, but it was drinkable and somewhat enjoyable.

Pronounced yeastiness trumps any Blanc de Blancs delicacy in the complex aggressively toasty faintly soy-like nose of this wine yet it is easy enough to taste past its fully autolyzed aspects and still find a bit of green-apple freshness at its heart. It is lithe and well-balanced with a wealth of incessant and wonderfully small bubbles and if it plays more to richness more than most of its close kin it is by all measures a significant Blanc de Blancs. Offers bright aromas of fresh green apple and juicy pineapple, complemented by yeasty sweet bread dough. The aromas lead into an expressive and generous taste of white stone fruit, apple, pear and tart grapefruit. An undertone of salty minerality and a complex creamy palate are supported to the end with a mouthwatering acidity.

Made from 100% Chardonnay, this bubbly shows Schramsberg’s ease of producing rich, clean and elegant sparkling wines. It’s delicious now in vanilla, yeast, lime and Asian pear flavors, with some sweetness from the dosage, but try giving it 5–6 years in the cellar.
