Schmitt Söhne Riesling 2008
This fine Riesling wine originates from the Mosel valley with its steep vineyards and offers an extraordinary premium wine quality. Forward fruit and floral aromas of apples and peaches with just a hint of citrus. The natural acidity gives the wine a perfect balance that is refreshingly crisp and leaves your mouth watering. This wine pairs well with a wide range of food like light salads, poultry, seafood and blue cheese or just on its own. Serve chilled.
Schmitt-Söhne is a large company that produces wines throughout Germany. They are best known for their Rieslings, produced in different regions within the country and from dry to sweet. They also make wines from different varietals in red, white, rosé and sparkling, also from dry to sweet.
I love this wine it's on my top 5. It has a great flavor not too strong, and finishes really well. I recommend this to anyone who likes a good riesling.
I tend to sway toward dry wines but for a sweet one this Riesling takes the cake! Light, smooth, crisp and fruity. Great summertime drink or paired with lighter fare dishes!
A smooth wine. Easy on the palette. Very enjoyable.
A nice off dry Riesling. Lots if fruit in the nose, balanced fruit and minerality and crisp finish.
Anyone could drink this wine, it is simply yummy!
Soothing; Sweet and Sensual while pinching the soulful inspiration of the love specs from within~
