Schlossgut Diel Riesling Spätlese Dorsheimer Pittermännchen 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Advocate #156 (Dec 2004) Bursting from the glass with aromas of spices, minerals, and slate, the sultry, medium-bodied 2003 Riesling Spatlese Dorsheimer Pittermannchen is a plush, supple wine. Broad, angle-free, and revealing outstanding length, this lush offering regales the taster with layers of creamed apples and notes of limestone. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2013.

Baked apples on the nose with a touch of spice. More apples on the palate. Off-dry bordering on sweet with a touch of clove and a nice crisp acidic fizz.
