- Almost 50% of the Schlossgut Diels production is in the dry style. The vineyards are extremely steep; the soil is composed of slate, fine gravel and red sandstone; and the yields are strictly limited. Since 1990 the estates best vineyards have finally shown how capable they are of producing great fruity style Rieslings, which remind one of great wines from the Rheingau.
