Schloss Schonborn Johannisberg Klaus Riesling Kabinett 1995
In excellent, high-acid vintages, Schloss Schönborn, which has actively produced wine since the 14th century, holds back a portion of its bottlings. These wines are stored in pristine, ancient caves at the winery until they are deemed ready for release. Sleek petrol and candied lemon peel on the nose lead to a delightfully pleasant and fresh effervescence on the palate. Slight smoke and flintiness with lingering lime flower. This gorgeously preserved Kabinett has not lost even a touch of its shimmering acid structure though it has mellowed and matured with grace.
