Schloss Lieser Estate Riesling Medium Dry 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

"While the reductive, leesy, CO2- influenced nose of Thomas Haag’s generic Q.b.A. 2010 Riesling (perhaps encouraged by the use of screw cap, I wonder?) did not permit an entirely clear view of the wine’s fruit and mineral charm, a good shaking was sufficient to liberate from his generic Schloss Lieser 2010 Riesling Kabinett (a blend almost entirely of Lieser Schlossberg and Graacher Himmelreich fruit) scents and refreshing juiciness of lime and apple, invigoratingly tinged with wet stone, salt, apple pip, citrus zest, and ginger. There is a slight but in itself stimulating tension of sweetness and acidity. I would expect this to drink well for at least the better part of a half dozen years..." WA 02/12
